I'm really trying to get back into the swing of things with my blogging, so i thought that tonight I'd share a bit of our goofy everyday life with you...
1) Last Tuesday i went to Costco with my mom for a bit of a shopping trip. I am soooo glad that i decided to drop what i was doing and run out the door. I have a new little, no scratch that..BIG christmas buddy!! He's big and soft and has a blinking nose and was only $22! On a side note i already had to ask the oldest daughter to PLEASE NOT RIDE ON RUDOLPH!!!
2) Friday around these parts of the woods was a PD Day(school holiday), so we decided to take a trip an hour down the highway to Chuck E Cheese! YAY! While driving i realized (while the girls were VERY loudly singing 'Best Day Ever' from Spongebob) that little orange REALLY likes to sing..and then i remembered the karaoke machine that Hero had got for Christmas back in '08 but had NEVER touched..and i realized that i really had to pull it out and see if Orange would go for it...Well she sure did! and there have been a FEW karaoke parties for 1 since! (she sang for 2 hrs straight that friday!!) So it looks like someone will be getting a couple new discs for Christmas!
3) Yesterday after church we needed to hit the grocery store, as I knew a mom who was in need of some groceries, and well we also needed a few things ourselves. When what a glorious site came into my vision..a sample kiosk for Starbucks VIA! HELLO free coffee for me! wooty woot! So i grabbed my sample which was ridiculously double-cupped..so i saved my extra little cup vowing to do something with it..BEHOLD! i now have a 'tip cup' on my espresso machine! So the next time i make my man an egg nog latte, i better be getting a tip ;)
And last stop on my little photo catch-up is.. 4) This is a couple shots of the girls tonight at bedtime. Orange has taken to reading the Bible(a kids one!), and Hero just finished book 9 of 39 Clues! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE that i have raised very avid readers. They absolutely devour books..just like mama :)

Phil Vischer
In 1990, 24-year-old computer animator Phil Vischer sat down to create a group of characters that could teach Christian values to kids in a delightfully weird way. Hence, a tomato named Bob and a cucumber named Larry were born. VeggieTales would go on to revolutionize Christian filmmaking, selling more than 50 million videos and placing Phil's faith-filled stories in one in every three American households with young children. Phil is highly respected by key leaders across the Christian landscape, from Joel Osteen to James Dobson. His company, Jellyfish Labs, provides faith-based daily programming via the Internet at jellytelly.com. The characters from the What's in the Bible? series are featured, but the content is not specifically from the DVDs. Phil continues to pursue innovative ways to integrate faith and storytelling through Jellyfish Labs. He chose the name Jellyfish as a reminder to remain pliable to God's plans and not his own. Phil lives with his wife, Lisa, and their three kids in Illinois.

Orange's Review(girl, 6 yrs): Well, Orange REALLY REALLY enjoyed this video the 2x that we have watched it so far. She's a really big fan of goofy songs, popsicle stick theatre, bathroom humour(like the kid in the minivan talking about the spongebob underpants), and dancing around the livingroom like a lunatic! I'm honestly not too sure that she learned ANYTHING from these 2 viewing sessions BUT repetition is the key and she REALLY wants to see the other videos, so once she CALMS down with all the silliness it'll sink in!
Hero's Review(girl, 10 yrs): I can tell that Hero was absorbing information..she sat attentively, and by the 2nd viewing was singing along to songs and was able to tell Orange what was coming next and to be quiet! lol. She's a VERY big fan of the popsicle theatre, Cap'n Pete, and of course the bathroom humour..she's 10! lol. She was also requesting that i buy the other videos in the series!
Mama's Review(girl, 30 yrs): I was VERY excited to get the opportunity to review this DVD thanks to Tyndale. I hadn't heard of the 'What's in the Bible' series, but i am a BIG BIG fan of the VeggieTale series, so was hoping that this wouldn't disappoint. Well, it definitely DIDN'T disappoint! It is a FANTASTIC video, that i foresee buying the first 3 videos in the series for Christmas. I love the infectious laughter that watching this video brings! It is so entertaining for both adult and children! My fiance even said how much he learned regarding the Bible and how it was so easily understood. He agreed with me that our house NEEDS the 13 disc series(there are still 9 discs slated for future release).

Very tired out. He's getting a tad snappy if you will. His job is such a blessing to our family, but he's still considered 'casual' so can get called in for 12hr shifts pretty much whenever they need him, day or night. It can be absolutely exhausting and that's not even considering the actual working part. So i took it upon myself today to plan and prepare and get things ready so that he can just come home tonight and chill out and play his new videogame that he has been so patiently waiting to play. He even put off playing it last night to put my needs first; pizza for dinner and cuddling on the couch watching Glee. So needless to say the man absolutely deserves it. So i have chili going in the crockpot, so that he can just grab a bowl and the bag of nachos and go down to the 'man cave'...and when he's done dinner i've also baked him some chocolate chip cookies to nom on! :) The man loves my chocochip cookies, and i love my man. 2 1/2 hrs to go till he gets home.
Speaking of men..i decided to be silly and take a pic of the man who is currently still labouring away in front of my house getting the framework set up for the concrete work they're doing in our group of houses. I am very annoyed with these men right now, it's been over 2 weeks of our front doors being fenced off and i don't even know how much longer it's going to be until all this work is said and done. We haven't been able to use our front door in that 2 week period..now that would be frustrating enough..but the weather is changing, we live in townhouses, everyday life is still taking place through all this..Do you know how much it sucks to run from the parking lot out front of the house around our row of houses and into the back door when it's raining, or when you have a LOAD of groceries, or when you really really aren't feeling well?! GRRRR. GRRR i say!!
Well enough for now..hope you are having a great day! :)
What a surprise in my inbox last night when i saw a last minute email inviting me to a meet & greet today with Bobs & Lolo. I cannot sing enough praises for these fabulous ladies. They are absolutely addictive or maybe enchanting? We started lovin' on them a WHILE back when their music videos started popping up on TreehouseTV and well we absolutely love all things that involve orangehair! (Annie rocks, Jessie from ToyStory - yeehaw!, Darby from Tigger n Pooh, Bobs?!) I wasn't too sure how 'lilorange' was going to do today(she's uber-shy and gets overwhelmed very easily) but she was a PRO(even asked them to sign her cd's all by herself!). We bought 2 more cd's that we needed to add to our collection..SO glad that they had them there with them because we cannot find them ANYWHERE here in town! It was also our 2nd time visiting 'Once Upon A Teacup'..the first time we were there for a birthday party and weren't really all that impressed..the koolaid tasted kinda like POO! But today was fantastic, the service was great, my spicy chai tea was delish! and lilorange's chocolate milk was absolutely ADORABLE!(cute pic on left!).
I was really really hoping that we'd make it to one of their concerts tomorrow but i just don't think it's gonna be possible, it's a 'daddy day' for the girls, and i hate intruding(etc etc) :( (but it's all good, 'cause today was absolutely AWESOME!)
