Why am i still up at 2:18 am?!
It has to do with me being the biggest chicken in the world, and i HATE having to stay in the house alone(luckily this doesn't happen to often!). I swear i'm afraid of my own shadow.
I hate to take a shower if i'm here alone. I DON'T go in the basement if i'm here alone. etc etc etc.
Irrational fears? More than likely. But it's just who i am.
I'll be awake here until i get so unbearably sleepy that i pretty much pass out.
Is there anyone else out there like this?
**edited to add: well i am finally turning out the light and it is...3:35am. Tomorrow will obviously require the IV drip of coffee - sigh**

Yep, I have those nights too. Hubby is a shift worker, so he is gone 2-3 nights a week. I am not so scared that I won't take a shower, or go in the basement (that's where the computer is...so blogging addiction helps overcome fears LOL), but I definitely do not sleep well. I wake up constantly thinking I hear a noise, the house is on fire and I have to get myself and 3 kids out, the van is being stolen....whatever my imagination can think up. Pathetic.
What is funny, is that this completely baffles my spouse. He doesn't get it all. I tell him...well if someone breaks into the house at night and You are home alone - they are not there for the same reason as IF I am home alone. course you don't have as much to be afraid of.
although..stealing the flatscreen is probably the worst thing that could happen to him! LOL
It is harder to go to sleep alone when I'm used to someone being there. I'm not too afraid. Every noise does seem to amplify when I'm alone. I have little problem going in the basement just because when I was younger my bedroom was in the basement.

that's not a good time of the morning! when I'm home alone, I put on the TV or radio, keeps me thinking that someone else is with me.
