Orb Factory Sticky Mosaics Review

The Orb Factory is a creative toy manufacturer located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Sold in more than 40 countries around the world, The Orb Factory’s products have won numerous international awards for outstanding innovation and design.

Before the holidays, my girls and I had the opportunity to review 2 craft kits of our choice. I selected the Enchanted Horses Jewelry Box for Orangie, and the Fairy Box for Hero. They were both chosen from the Sticky Mosaics Room Decor section.

The girls were very excited when they saw the kits (they had no idea they were coming) and it turns out i had made the right choices when selecting the kits for them!

Sticky Mosaics® allow kids to peel & stick sparkling foam and jewel tiles to create Mosaics by Number® that are ready for display. Our My First Sticky Mosaics® line brings crafting to kids 3+ with Big Pieces for Little Fingers®. Their toys are both imaginative and educational, and have been used as learning tools in classrooms around the world.

Instantly when seeing the kits, i realized that they were just like a paint by number, only you stick foam pieces and jewels to the numbers instead. Both kids(7 and 11) were EASILY able to follow the included directions and get to work creating their jewelry boxes. Everything that we needed was included(there were even extra pieces 'just in case'!). The kits also took up a fair chunk of time, definitely OVER a full hour of working away, and would be fantastic for snow days or rainy days at the cottage, or even just ANY DAY!

Both kits we chose were for ages 5+, and had 800-1200 pieces. It was a bit daunting at first but because it was so easy to follow, the worry QUICKLY passed. There was one small issue that Orangie(7yr) had with her kit, and that was with the teeny tiny jewels. She stuck *maybe* 2 on and begged me to do the rest of the teeny ones for her! They required quite a bit of manual dexterity and patience. Though it was nice to sit and craft with her.
* here's the finished products! *

Both girls found the kits very fun and absolutely LOVE the final results, AND have asked about buying a new kit to try every time we see them at Chapters!

We give these kits an enthusiastic 2 thumbs up!
