Stopain Cold - review

Oh how i have been cursed with bad genetics. My mom is plagued with chronic pain/fibromyalgia/migraines/etc etc, and it seems that the apple don't fall far from the tree! I, too, suffer from migraines, bad back, etc. It doesn't take much for me to NEED topical pain relievers like Stopain!

Between 15% and 29% of the Canadian population (or approx. 76.5 million Americans) suffers from incidences of pain, especially in the winter months when the cooling weather aggravates the muscles and joints.

Don’t let the worry of wintertime bring you down.  It’s time to “Stopain..and Go” do the things you want to do this season.

The active ingredient in Stopain is menthol, recognized by the FDA as an analgesic indicated for the temporary relief for minor pains and stiffness of arthritis, muscle aches, strains and simple backaches. It also contains peppermint oil and eucalyptus oil, recognized by the FDA for their analgesic properties. Extra-strength Stopain formulas are also formulated with glucosamine and MSM, essential nutrients that support joint health and mobility.

Stopain is available in four formulations: Stopain Spray, Stopain Extra-Strength Spray, Stopain Extra-Strength Roll-On, and the new Stopain Gel.

My Thoughts:
I received the Stopain Cold Pain Relieving Gel (as pictured above) for my review purposes. I admit that i was a little worried about it being labelled as 'COLD' and being a gel product. This is not what i would have picked out at the store, as when i have a backache or muscle pain I crave warm/soothing/comforting.
When i was having neck pain one night I asked the Mr if he could help me out and rub Stopain on my neck for me so that I could get to sleep. I cringed waiting for that COLD feeling, but was very pleasantly surprised because i found a warm feeling coming over me. I was almost instantly able to sleep! It does indeed start to work on contact! It also was non-greasy, non-staining, and did have a light scent(even though it contains 6% menthol!)..just as advertised! It is now, hand-down, my go-to product!
