The guinea pigs are here!!

I know, i know...another post about the piggies. But really it's pretty much what my day consisted of! Going to get them on the other side of town, bringing them home with all their gear, getting them moved in, cleaning up their cage etc, having to go out to Petsmart to buy them a new water bottle/chewy logs and some vitamin c drops, and then just observing/petting/feeding them!
And i'm glad that i spent so much time observing them, as i realized that Princess wasn't easily able to get to the upper level to get food..she seemed almost afraid..or maybe she's just really too fat to get up there..she's REALLY fat in the midsection. So I gave her a ceramic dish of food in the lower level and man did she go to town on it!! So i made sure to put some special treats on the upper lever just for Cocoa, as she seems to be the timid shy girl who's last to the food.
* Oh and sidenote: when you bring home a new guinea pig put it straight into the cage, and DON'T let it play out in their playpen...lets just say i had to clean up 2 pee accidents!! *

Anywho..here's some more pics!

I promise i'll write about something different tomorrow! :)

Awhh...they're so sweet! They look like they have been brought into a great home where they'll receive lots of pampering and love...just the way it should be!
Keep us updated on their progress!

I've never been interested in guinea pigs but I have this desire to own a pot-bellied pig! Weird huh? Yet I hear they are very clean and can be trained to use cat litter. Hubby is a no go on this one though. Still working on it :)

So cute! My niece has one, my kiddos have been asking, but we have a dog, that's good enough for me since I take care of her, lol.

Awwww they're so cute! All I recall about my guinea pigs as a child are them biting me! Hopefully yours are a little nicer than mine were.

So cute. My kids have been asking me for guinea pigs too. I had two when I was younger, they were two girls and we called them Crackers & Butter. :)
