Mmm, I did it again...Kale Chips!

Seriously, i cannot rave enough about the Kale Chips. Super healthy, delish snack for $1.99ish?! I'm in!

AND..MY..KIDS..LOVE..THEM! Yeah!

So simple to make!

1) buy kale, pull off leafy bitesize chunks

2) wash it (and then i spun mine dry in salad spinner)

3) toss it on a baking sheet, then spray with olive oil(i use a Misto), and then i add some sea salt and pepper on top

4) today i baked them at 350F for about 10 mins(maybe JUST less) keep an eye on them! you want nicely crisped, not brown and burnt.

5) nom nom! (no talking or smiling etc while eating these, if you are with someone, your teeth will be ridiculously embarrassing! little kale bits stuck everywhere! lol..but then again, i guess you can laugh at each other and smile because you're eating a wonderful healthy snack! )

Have you made any kale chips since i posted about them last time?? Are you going to do it now? :)

I tried this once and it was a total flop. They were sort of greasy and not really crisp. I tried cooking them longer, but they didn't crisp up. I think the problem is I don't own a salad spinner... so even though i patted them to dry them off they were too damp and ended up simultaneously soggy and burnt around the edges.

Okay note to self: get a salad spinner first. Thx.

I've been so hesitant to try kale chips. I'm afraid of screwing them up. Is that silly? I really need to just bite the bullet and try to make them.

I love making kale chips - it is soooo much cheaper than buying them. I recently saw a recipe for BRUSSEL SPROUT chips, same way to make as kale. I can't wait to try it!!!

I'll have to try these. They sound healthy, but I can't even imagine what they'd taste like. All the positive comments must mean they really are good!
