Holiday Rice Krispie Treats for school! - #Kelloggers

The last package we received from Kelloggers Network sure made our eyes light up! They had sent us a bright red box filled with wonderful holiday goodies! There was everything(and more!) that we would need to create awesome Rice Krispie holiday treats, well actually a couple fun batches! :)

*doesn't this look fun?!*

We decided that we would make special treats for Orangie to take in for her class holiday party.
We started by making a nice big batch of Original Recipe Rice Krispie squares mix.
*we used Holiday Rice Krispies for this batch*

Then we pressed the mix into a large lightly greased (and non-stick too) baking pan/cookie sheet.

When they were set, we flipped it out onto a couple big cutting boards/sheets and let our fun with cookie cutters begin! :)

* we chose a sweet little ornament shape *

Next step was to the let the girls loose to decorate them!
We used all sorts of fun stuff like glittery squeeze-tube icing, sprinkles, candies, etc.

I think they turned out great!
and the girls had a GREAT time!

We packaged them up for Orangie to take to her party...

and not even a crumb came home! :)

Thanks sooo much to Kelloggers Network for giving us a big box of holiday cheer!!

I love this idea.. never thought of doing them thin and cut outs. Do you think putting food colouring in the marshmellow mix would do anything? I am thinking of doing valentines day ones for my kids classes.

That's cute. How did you make 2 colors on the rice crispy?
