School has gone back in just a few minutes ago..and I've gotta say that I wish we had just a bit more time together! When the kids go back and forth between two houses, and then you add in all the extra-curriculars, I just don't feel I get enough time with them.
We had a great time together over the break, and tried to pack in as much fun and togetherness as we could (and at as low of a cost as we could!)
How we spent Christmas Break:
* went iceskating
* said goodbye to the elves
* had Christmas
* went to see the lights at the park downtown
*roasted chestnuts for the first time (and never again!!)
* did some crazy hard 500 pc puzzles
* played in the snow
* read
* had movie nights
* played videogames together
* went to chuck e cheese
* went to the library (and did a craft too)
* family game nights
* went and saw the giant snowman! (it's HUGE!)
* saw Phineas & Ferb LIVE
It's been 18 minutes, and I miss my girls already.
Tell me about your Christmas break! or link up a post! :)

Glad you enjoyed your break with the kids! These are times to be treasured for sure! I am sending my college kids back now and that is really sad! Sure, the house was a mess when they were home, but we had a house full of laughter, fighting (it is inevitable!), games, good times and it just gets better every time we are together!
Awww, I know today will be hard, but just think summer break isn't that far away! But it sounds (and looks from instagram) that y'all had a wonderful Christmas break!
That sounds like a really fun Christmas break! I'm never happy when Christmas break is over either. I enjoy spending fun time with my son.
It sounds like you had a great holiday! I am happy to have my girls go back to school because I have a lot of work to do, but it was a good holiday. :)
Aww sounds like such a fun Christmas Break! Always hard to see it end though, because it's so fun spending it with the kiddos :)
My girl - the 8 year old could do puzzles all day every day without coming up for food. She is like a little puzzle savant. We had fun. We had Christmas here, skated, entertained, enjoyed my sweet nephew and niece, worked, wrote a lot, then put together Barbie Dreamhouse, saw a movie, went shopping and ate a lot of turkey. Then we packed and flew to Las Vegas trusting the kids to my sister in law for the first time ever!! It was awesome. Gotta do that again.
wish it wasn't over too :) looks like you had a wonderful holiday happy new year
I wish Christmas break was not over either. We spend a lot of time playing outside and taking the girls to the free outdoor skating rink.
What a fun Christmas break. We had lots of skiing and movie nights
Awww. I know what you mean. We had 2 fun weeks of lots of togetherness and fun activities. And 2 weeks is just long enough to feel like a routine but not long enough to get all you want out of it.
Sounds like you got a lot of fun in over the break! To be honest the whole idea is a little foreign to me. My little one is 2 1/2 and my husband and I both work full time so we had an extra long weekend over Christmas but no huge break. I'm actually kind of glad we didn't have a huge break. Not because I don't love spending time with my adorable kid but because it can be a little difficult for her to get back into her regular routine if we are all off for extended periods of time. She thrives on routine and as much as she likes being home with mommy and daddy after a few days she misses her little friends!
My son went back yesterday and my daughter went back today. We had a good break. We went to Chuck E. Cheese also and had some movie nights. Probably didn't do as much as we could have. Enjoy your time "alone" and have a good week!
