and then at 33 weeks it all went out the window!
A routine midwife appointment showed my blood pressure spiked. I was immediately put into the hospital on bedrest and they didn't foresee me leaving until the baby was born. I didn't even get to pack myself a bag! Actually, we had been in the midst moving, and the nursery wasn't set up yet! My baby shower hadn't happened yet, so I didn't have the car seat yet or the playpen or many other essentials! Realizing all this likely made my blood pressure rise more! New plans started being made immediately from my hospital bed while going through steroid shots and constant testing and monitoring!
At 36 weeks exactly my beautiful baby girl was brought into the world, and ready or not, it all just didn't matter anymore. Just taking care of my NICU baby was all that mattered!
The only diaper that fit my tiny 3 lb'er were Pampers Preemies, that were thankfully well stocked in the NICU!
